Not wanting to name the new wears as Pyjamas ...which are mainly seen as sleepwear...this new Burtonwode range is to be seen as for loafing around the house in more than sleeping...although feel free to doze should the mood strike!! Here is a bit of technical info to go with the images...and keep your eyes peeled for the full release due sometime in November!!
The construction of the Plain colours is 2/100s x 2/100s (Poplin weave). In order to have a yarn that has been finely spun as a 100’s we have to start with the finest “long staple cotton”. The result is a quality fabric that is silky soft and has a natural sheen coupled with durability. The Mint Stripe is a 2/80s x 2/80s Oxford weave construction, having all of the above properties but a slightly fuller handle.
Once the textile is finished, the fabric is then made up in London using a combination stitch that gives a French seam like quality. The short has a 5 panel construction, with a back panelensuring the short does not ride up into any ‘uncomfortable’ positions. Finally the damask quality label is attached on the front (to ensure no itchy skin).
The Pyjamas also use the same method of hight level construction. The bottoms have deep pockets, and the tops include two secret pockets that are especially convenient for loose items such as keys, cigarettes or money (if you fancy going out in these bad boys!!)
